wat my kochachan read abt our ANAKKULAM camp

on d past onam holydays v had a camp @ anakkulam,a place near moonnaar.

i bliv its 1 of th must see places 4 a nature lover,
unfortunately that place couldnt appear on th tourism map because transportation facilities s almost nil(also no means f communication ).

the roads bcom streams in th rainy season.
jeep s th only vahicle dat can travel through that terrain.
th journey was very uncomfortable(even made me vomit).

the 5 day camp was meant 4 social service,lyk clearing th roads,
managing water flow etc,

everyday aftr lunch we had trekking,


ther was so mch adventr dat sm tyms v faced death
( one step mis, get into hte heavy down pouring water n then 2 the rocks sm 30 m down)
a watrfall ther s one of th largest in kerala.

for our program offcers, it was quite a difficult task to control sm 45-50 students(+-20 girls),
through those ways which lead us into
th silent darknes f d thick forest(said 2 b havn elephants, tigers n bears)
slipery huge rock stratas,
wild steams with cold sparkling water(its pure also) n oval stones,
through the tribal colony,
over the hilltops ,
smtyms we(some of us) had to climb vertically up with roots of trees as a support ,
v proceeded fearing the blood suckn leaches ,
attyms our vision was covered by fog....


its my first such xperience in lyf ( aftr several long yrs bounded in th 14 acres of Navodaya).
aftr th treck,
boys usd 2 bath in the river(on the othr syd f rivr ther s thick forest ,
@ night clustr f wild elephants coms 2 the place in d river wer v usd 2 swim) ,
on the bank we used 2 play soccer with th local ppl, by th tym its almost dark ,

v return to ht school wher v wer supposd 2 stay.
uptil dinner(10.00) v had sm cultural programs (participatn f each 1 is a mst- i appeard in dancing, singing n dramma-) .

it washedout a big part f th crowd fear reserve in me. n i felt so mch relievd...

ther s mch mor to say.

even th words fail 2 defyn the scenerios often v realiz how silly ugly small thing v r ,
at the glance of ,

-th huge quantum f water taking 'MOKSHAM ' at th falls...
-the incredibl heights f sahyan...
-unimaginabl beauty f th woods...
